Surgical Tech Application Pre-screening Form

Instructions: Please use this form to determine whether you are ready to apply to the NSCC Surgical Technology Program and what steps to take if you are not yet eligible to apply.

Please review the Surgical Technology pre-requisite coursework. All classes must be completed with a grade of "C" or better BEFORE you apply to the Surgical Technology program.

Core Requirements (must complete all 4 courses with a "C" or better)

BIOL 1000 Medical Terminology
SURG 1304 Basic Anatomy
SURG 1305 Surgical Pharmacology
SURG 2310 Surgical Microbiology

Required General Education Coursework (must complete 4 before starting program)

•ENGL 1010 – English Composition I (Communications)
•PHIL 1040-(or another Humanities and Fine Arts) – 3 credits
•PSYC 1030-(or another Social/Behavioral Science) – 3 credits
•MATH 1010-(or another Math/Natural Science) – 3 credits
•Three Gen Ed electives – 9 credits (3 classes)

Within 24 hours of registering for 2025 classes, you will have access to login to the Surgical Technology program application. If it has been less than 24 hours since you registered, please check back again tomorrow. If you have not yet been admitted to the college for 2025 and have questions about the status of your application, please reach out to the Welcome Center at welcomecenter@nscc.edu. You will not have access to login to the Surgical Technology application until you are both admitted and registered.
